We are delighted to announce the exceptional opening of the new address of the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain in Paris.

Located at 2 place du Palais-Royal, 75001 Paris, in front of the Louvre, this new location marks a major milestone in the Foundation’s history.

 

A new home for contemporary art

Since its creation in 1984, the Foundation has been committed to supporting international contemporary artistic creation, fostering collaboration between disciplines (visual arts, design, architecture, sciences), and offering artists a unique space for experimentation.

This new building, renovated by architect Jean Nouvel, transforms a historic site into a true haven for creativity: 6,500 m² of modular exhibition spaces and 1,200 m² of mobile platforms to sculpt the scenography of the artworks.
