Calder at the Fondation Louis Vuitton: Dreaming in Balance

From April 15 to August 16, 2026, the Fondation Louis Vuitton is dedicating a major retrospective to Alexander Calder, a pioneer of kinetic sculpture. Entitled Calder: Dreaming in Balance, the exhibition presents nearly 300 works: mobiles, stabiles, drawings, paintings, and the famous Calder Circus, offering a comprehensive overview of his creativity over more than five decades.

Through movement, form, and color, the exhibition reveals Calder's poetic and inventive universe and his profound influence on modern art. A spectacular exhibition in the architectural setting designed by Frank Gehry, not to be missed for all art and sculpture enthusiasts.
